You can preach !

This good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the world to serve as a witness to all nations. Matthew 24:14

We are stewards of the Gospel. The power to proclaim the greatest news to heaven or earth has not been given to angels. He was given to redeemed men. This was addressed to modest lay people. Some people think that only ministers should preach, but that's not true. Every Christian must be a witness ; every disciple of Christ must preach the Gospel.

We can preach by sharing our experience with others. We can preach by exalting Christ in our daily lives. The sermons seen are often more effective than those heard. The truth is that the best sermons are both heard and seen. They are a kind of audiovisual testimony. We can also preach by giving others so that they can preach. Missionary gifts, parish offerings and gifts of charity all speak eloquently of your Christian selflessness and generosity.

In all these things, we are God's partners. We help with His grace to redeem the world. God needs our time, our talents, our testimony and our money today more than at any other time in history. Become a full-fledged working partner with God.

Prayer for the day

Wherever I go today, make me aware of the people I meet. They need your love. So that I can speak to them about you, say a kind word, or minister in any way, I would be like you, Lord - loving always, giving always.
