You choose !

Genesis 13.10 - Lot lifted up his eyes, and saw all the plain of the Jordan, which was completely watered. Before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, it was like the garden of the Eternal as far as Zoar, like the land of Egypt.

For many of us, we know how Jesus emerged victorious in the face of the temptation of the devil who made Him shine with the glory of the nations. When it came to choosing it, Lot was seduced by the beauty of the plain of Sodom. In a way, he "buried" himself there, suffering from the abominable sins he saw daily (2 Peter 2:18).

We will be faced with choices throughout our lives ! Choice of studies, career, promotion, spouse, service, place of residence... It is at these crucial times that we have to be very, very vigilant. The best choices that come our way are not always the best, the dark side can be very bitter !

To help us see more clearly, we can ask ourselves some essential questions. What price will the choice I make on my Christian values, on my health, on my relationship with God have ? Will my integrity as a child of God remain intact ? Will I be able to be of service to the advancement of the Kingdom of God, will I portray my new surroundings or be drawn into it ? If Lot had asked himself these questions, he probably wouldn't have made that choice.

Finally, let's pray before choosing, let's not pray after choosing ! And if we have made a bad choice, let us return with all our hearts to God who is able to change the most inextricable situations !
