You cry touches the heart of God

The Word of God testifies that afflictions teach us to bend the knee and shout to the Lord in the midst of our problems and trials.

"Before being humiliated, I went astray ; now I observe your word" (Psalms 119: 67).

"I know, O LORD ! that your judgments are just ; it is by faithfulness that you humbled me" (Psalms 119: 75).

In this last verse, David says : "Lord, I know why you grieved me. You saw that when all was well, I turned away and became carefree, so You allowed the test. You knew that she would put me on my knees, that she would bring me back to humility. My affliction is proof of Your faithfulness to me !"

We must understand one thing about the heart of God - He suffers when we suffer. He feels our afflictions at the same time as we, whatever they are. "In all their distress, He was in distress, and the angel of his face saved them ; in his love and in his mercy he redeemed them, and took them from them, and he carried them all the days of old" (Isaiah 63: 9 Darby Version).

The Lord is moved every time His children cry from the depths of their affliction. "The children of Israel ... shouted. These cries, which the servitude wrung from them, ascended to God. God heard their moans" (Exodus 2: 23-24). Israel moved the heart of God. Whenever they have been afflicted, God has suffered with them. The Bible tells us that even when Israel had sinned against Yahweh, and misfortune struck them, "the Lord was touched by the evils of Israel" (Judges 10:16).

Many people struggle against terrible connections in their lives and temptations rage in them daily. But I say to such people, "God cares !" Yes, He knows the misery you endure and He alone has the power to deliver you. Through every battle, He teaches you to run to the cross and cry to Him for deliverance !
