You have value
You are valuable to me, you are important, and I love you. Isaiah 43.4
Student "promo" meal at the restaurant. We talk high at the end of the table. Some try their hand at politics and it is up to who will cover the voice of the other. Everyone wants to have the upper hand, to be the most visible, to launch the phrase that will hit the mark...
A homeless man pushes the door, cluttered with a light wooden crate. Inside, roses.
The man offers his flowers to each other. He only receives barely polite refusals, or annoyed nods to tell him to go somewhere else.
The man is about to leave. But he sees an isolated student near the door. She looks cold and her face is sad, so sad.
The man stops, digs into his crate with both hands and places an armful of roses on the young woman's knees. Then he walks out the door, back into the cold street.
Silence in the room. All eyes on the bouquet. Despite the tears, the face of the young woman wears a radiant smile.
An angel passed by. His message ? “You have value !"
