You will not die

"I will not die, I will live, and I will relate the works of the Lord." Psalm 118.17

In life, there are days that we can not forget so long as they remain engraved forever in our memory. For Élodie it was May 3, 2006.

God loves you and will always be at your side. It must be said that it is a special day for her, because it is her birthday. While she rejoices with her family and some friends at home, everything will rock. A man emerges from nowhere with a Molotov cocktail in his hand and for no apparent reason, throws him in his direction. In a few seconds, her body flames up and she becomes a living torch.

After weeks of coma, suffering and agony she finally wakes up. Nevertheless, she remains under respiratory assistance because her internal organs have been affected. The doctors, perplexed as to his life expectancy, will say about him that each breath is a victory in itself.

And then, the miracle will happen! Listening to a CD, his heart will literally be overwhelmed by the words saying, Discouraged, you think God may have forgotten you. Unhappy circumstances have disconcerted you, you do not know where to turn ; I come to tell you that there is someone who loves you ... You know God knows you, he sees your sorrows, He understands your pain well.

In this psalm David gives thanks to God for the mercy he has exercised over him. And I imagine him, sitting on a rock thinking of all those moments spent in the hollow of the wave, entrenched in the presence of God to face his enemies.

While the images of the interventions of the "Almighty" pass through his head, his heart begins to beat, his mouth opens and he starts to shout with full lungs : In the midst of these fights, Has left on earth, it is so that I tell all marvels !

Have you ever felt like you were going to die ? That all was over for you ? Ah, the bad thoughts ! They are vain and incarnate in us as circumstances dictate, forcing us to accept dark ideas.

The truth is that you are still there. God has kept you, he loves you and will always be at your side. After all, is it not he who "holds in his hand the soul of all that lives" Job 12:10 ?

About Elodie, God has totally raised her and now she inflames the hearts with her testimony. And why not you ? "I set my refuge in the Lord Jehovah, to tell all your works." Psalm 73.28

A prayer for today

Thank God, for all your benefits. They have been numerous and I admit it. So give me the strength I need to tell them to all who need it. In the name of Jesus. Amen
