"The children of Israel mourned Moses for thirty days in the plains of Moab, and these days of mourning and mourning over Moses came to an end. Deuteronomy 34.8
When you experience trauma, it is normal to be sad and cry. The Lord will never blame you. Moreover, he validates your suffering : "Blessed are those who mourn because they will be comforted" (Matthew 5: 4). After a sentence, it is normal to shed tears.
Lord, I weep over what I have to cry and I decide to move forward ...
When Moses died, the children of Israel mourned his loss for thirty days. The time of mourning had a start date and an end date. It is good to mourn what or why you should cry, to live your emotions. However, at the end of this period, you will have to continue your journey. Otherwise, beyond loss, you will suffer an even greater evil : self-pity. Your good Heavenly Father does not want you to spend your life being unhappy and regretting your past. Therefore, spread your heart and continue your journey. God is not dead, He is still alive.
A promised land stretched out its arms to the children of Israel. What a tragedy would have been if the people had spent their lives regretting the past and weeping over Moses. He would have missed the blessings and miracles that God had in store for him.
Let God heal you. You suffer ? Then weep, do not deprive yourself of it. It is the Lord himself who invented tears which is a good way to evacuate his traumas. Nevertheless, do not spend your life lamenting but advance because your current situation is not your final destination : the best is before you.
A prayer for today
Lord, I cry on what I have to cry and I decide to move forward because I realize that my current situation is not my final destination. Yes, the best is before me, amen.
