Your miracle is marinating
Search the Scriptures
... and we desire that each of you show the same zeal to preserve full hope until the end. Thus you will not slack off, but you will imitate those who, by faith and patience, receive the promised inheritance. Hebrews 6.11-12
Faith needs patience to achieve its goal. This means that there will be a waiting period. Just as there is a delay between sowing and reaping, there is a season when it takes patience as your faith works behind the scenes.
The story of Abraham is a wonderful story of patience in the promises of God. The Scriptures tell us that he already believed in God, and that God counted it to him as righteousness. This means that Abraham's faith was all about what God was doing. However, God's promise did not come true immediately. It took a period of patience for God's plan to come into full fruition.
Hebrews 6:12 tells us that God's promises are received only by faith and patience.
We are a microwave generation that wants things done quickly and on our schedule. The problem is that a meal reheated in the microwave loses some of the nutrients and goodness it contains. You don't want a microwave miracle. The best meals are those that cook for a long time, marinating in the preparation.
When you are tempted to worry about how long it will take for what you believe to come true, remember that your miracle is marinating. God foresees the realization of your miracle. So don't give up ; your faith needs your patience to accomplish God's plan.
Listen the voice of God
Let's take the time to listen to what God wants to say. Maybe you are about to give up ? God is picking you up and encouraging you now.
Praying is simple. Speak to God as you would your closest friend. God loves you and he can hear everything. Here is an example of a prayer : "Lord, as I wait for my miracle to be accomplished, I thank you, for you make my faith grow and you make it perfect. Help me not to slack off when I see nothing and time seems to be long. Amen."
Praise God
To praise God is to express our gratitude to him. Today, what are your subjects of recognition ? Take a time to thank the Lord.
Act today
Now, deepen what you have received. What can you put in place to apply what God has told you ? Write down concrete actions you can take.
Honor the Lord
Our journey for the day ends. Let us pray together to honor our God.
"My God, I thank you, for you are a God who continues to work wonders. Yours is the reign, the power and the glory, amen !"
