A God of movement !

Genesis 1: 2 - ... the spirit of God moved over the waters.

Astronomers agree that our universe is still expanding, that is, it continues to evolve and grow, as if the creative Word of God continued its work tirelessly. I would like us to try to think about this : God is a God of movement !

This faculty of movement, God gives it to his children. Paul will say in his speech in Athens : "For in Him we have life, movement, and being" (Acts 17:28). Our Lord wants us to enter into his movement of life. When Ezekiel prophesied, a movement took place, gathering the dry bones together (Ezekiel 37.7). The Spirit of God needs to move. This is why Jesus used several expressions to speak of the relationship of the Holy Spirit with the believer. It will be IN you, but also ON you, or even WITH you. The Spirit of God will never allow itself to be compartmentalized, channeled or locked up, He moves in all its splendor above...

All this to say that the Church must let herself be carried away by this movement ! It cannot remain static, stuck in religious traditions, otherwise it becomes like the dry bones of Ezekiel. It looks like the Church but it's dead. The anointing of the Holy Spirit is disturbing because it will always push towards a movement of life. Unfortunately, many communities have closed themselves off to the prophetic voice for fear of being jostled ! The movement of creation and life is seldom comfortable, ask a mother what happened in her womb, yet a birth is something extraordinary.

My beloved, like stagnant water smells bad, if we are not moving with the Holy Spirit in our personal lives, we will give off a foul odor. Likewise, if our community does not evolve in the wake of the Spirit, it will only resemble a whitewashed sepulcher. Let us put this divine command into practice : “Walk in the Spirit” (Galatians 5:16) !
