Adopt the right attitude !

"Change of attitude" Revelation 2.16

Today, I would like to encourage you to adopt the best attitudes.

Overcome evil with good.

Having survived three dark years spent in Auschwitz and other Nazi prisons, Dr. E. Frankl wrote his observations on life in Hitler's camps : "We who lived in the concentration camps can remember The men who comforted the others in the barracks, giving their last piece of bread, are few in number, but they clearly testify that one can take everything from a man except one thing: the last of human liberties-to choose his attitude-in Any circumstance, choose his own way ".

At one point in his life, the young David found himself face to face with King Saul, who wanted his death. "Saul wanted to strike David with his spear ... But David turned away from him, and Saul struck the wall with his spear" (1 Samuel 19:10).

It was not the first spear that Saul sent to David. Yet, the young shepherd throughout his life will keep a good attitude towards Saul. Faced with people who send you spears, you have several choices :

- Dodge and return, which is tantamount to "making evil for evil".

- Dodge and ruminate! In other words, "you control yourself externally as a good Christian, but within you in your thoughts you make evil for evil."

- Dodge and refuse bad thoughts. In this case, you decide to keep a good attitude, externally and inwardly, despite the wickedness of which you are the victim. In other words, you overcome evil with good.

You will not be able to choose the external elements you will have to face! Nevertheless, you can always choose the attitude to adopt.

A prayer for today

Lord, I make the decision on this day to change attitude. Faced with the difficulties of life and external pressures, I will develop a good spiritual attitude, both externally and internally. In the name of Jesus, amen.
