An Image

"All of us who, with their faces uncovered, contemplate as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, we are transformed into the same image ..." 2 Corinthians 3:18

Who has no mirror in his house ! I recently told a group of women in prison that when I was incarcerated, I decided not to put them in my cell. The reason was that I was disgusted with myself and that my image was unbearable.

The Word of God is a divine mirror of excellence that reveals to you just how exceptional you are. By way of conclusion, I addressed these few words to them. Maybe that's your case! The image that is yours is in a thousand pieces, and each piece represents a part of your life that brings you back to hard facts and hard to accept. However, I would like to tell you that beyond all the reasons that cause you to depreciate yourself, God loves you and the image that he has of you has never changed.

At this moment, indescribable things happened in this room. Some faces became radiant, others began to weep and entrust their lives to the Lord. I imagine God was gently whispering in their ear : "My daughter, you are beautiful and I love you as you are."

"But God proves his love for us, in that when we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5: 8

There is a real opposition between the image that God has of us and the image that is sent back to us by a simple mirror. Indeed, the word of God is a divine mirror of excellence that reveals to you just how exceptional you are, unlike a simple mirror that returns your natural image.

What is your view on you ? Sometimes a simple button on the face is enough for a person to be ugly and decides to stay locked up at home until he disappears. It would be useless to enumerate all the other evil things that are part of our lives. They cling to our consciousness and sometimes lead us to find ourselves horrible ! "My God, I am in confusion, and I am ashamed, O my God, to lift up my face unto thee" Ezra 9.6.

Do you want to have a clear look at your real person ? Then take the mirror that God has placed at your disposal for this purpose, his word. You will thus discover the image that God has of you. It is beautiful, beautiful and every day the Divine potter works it a little more in order to make it perfect.

A proclamation for today

Father, "I praise you that I am such a wonderful creature, Your works are admirable, And my soul recognizes it well." Psalm 139.14
