Attention, this is serious !

Why does the wicked despise God ? Why is he saying in his heart that you are not punishing ? Psalm 10.13

Without batting an eyelid, someone tells me his atheism and says in the same breath : "I don't want to go to heaven at all, we're bored there! I want to go to hell : there we will have fun and laugh !"

This response is more of a provocation, but it seems to me to reveal three illusions all the same.

1. No, the question of heaven and hell cannot be treated with that flippancy that in its day qualified the song "We will all go to heaven !" "This is our final destination, our eternal future ! The subject deserves the greatest attention and a careful examination of all the available data ! (Galatians 6.7)

2. No, heaven really isn't a boredom place ! On the cross, Jesus Christ endorsed the condemnation our sins deserved. Risen, he ascended to heaven to prepare a place with him for all those who trust in him. It will be an eternity of perfect happiness, love without shadows ! (Revelation 21.4-7)

3. No, hell isn't going to be fun. More than a place, it will be the appalling state of destruction of all who have trampled on the grace offered. For them, goodbye to laughter and joy, goodbye to love, forever ! (2 Thessalonians 1. 9-10)

So choose. Do not take this decision lightly, you would really have to realize it !
