Claim to God your blessing

"This is the work of the Almighty, who will bless you with the blessings of the heavens above, the blessings of the waters below, the blessings of the breasts and the maternal womb." Genesis 49:25

The apostle James declared : "You do not possess because you do not ask." James 4.2

Your heavenly Father is happy when he hears you solicit his favor.

God has gifts in store for you, but in order to possess them, the Lord expects you to ask for them. You will get some benefits from God without even opening your mouth. However, there are blessings that you should ask him or you will never receive them.

Blessing is in the very nature of God, do not doubt it any more. Maybe you think you are not a candidate for blessing. Or you are one of those convinced Christians that you have nothing to solicit from God. This view is a trap: change your way of thinking.

Often the term "blessing" has been overused with time. It has become a form of politeness. Some see this as a selfish desire, seeking only material possessions for a very personal happiness : a new Ferrari, a four-storey house, and so on. The true divine favor serves the glory of the Lord. The gifts of the Lord are powerful, they give you full access to the divine plan. To enter the divine blessing is to plunge into the river of his will. Your desire is entirely on the glory of God. The Lord will never deny you a grace that is in His will and exalts His name.

As a father is honored when his child comes to him to ask for his blessing, your heavenly Father is happy when he hears you solicit his favor. You can approach him with confidence, he will not reject you. As every sane parent hopes for the best for his children, your Heavenly Father desires the best for you. The Bible is clear : "Ask and you will be given." Matthew 7.7

A prayer for today

Lord, I wish to be blessed by you. Bring me into all that you have planned for me, amen.
