Cry out to Jesus !

Searching the Scriptures

Many would pick him up to silence him, but he was screaming much louder. Mark 10:48

Imagine being blind from birth, one day you miraculously regained your sight, and the first face you saw was that of Jesus !

This is what happened to Bartimaeus. Jesus passed by where he sat begging every day. Realizing that this was the chance of his life, he cried out for help until he lost his breath. Sometimes a beautiful prayer is not enough. To great ills, great remedies ! Sometimes you have to cry out to God from the bottom of your soul. Mark 10:49 tells us : When Bartimaeus cried, "Jesus stood still." Your cry attracts the attention of God.

David says in Psalm 30.3 : "O Lord my God, I cried to you, and you have healed me." Do not hesitate, have confidence. "Let us therefore approach with confidence the throne of grace, that we may gain compassion and find grace so that we may be helped in due time" (Hebrews 4:16).

Here is the end of the story : "The blind man threw off his cloak and leaped up and came to Jesus" (Mark 10.50). He did this for two reasons : first, a coat that was too long could have tripped him. Then he wore beggar's clothes. To approach Jesus, you must be ready to get rid of everything that stands in your way : shame, the failure of the past, the faults, the limits that one has known and the labels that others have. stuck to us.

Listen to the voice of God

Let’s take the time to listen to what God means. God hears your every cry, let him now give you a word of hope for your life.

Praying is easy. Talk to God as you would your closest friend. God loves you and he can hear everything. Here is an example prayer : "Lord, nothing is impossible for you. I cry out to you for you are my only hope in this situation that I am going through."

Praise God

To praise God is to show him our gratitude. What are your subjects of recognition today ? Take a time to thank the Lord.

Act today

Now dig deeper into what you have received. What can you do to apply what God has told you ? Write down the concrete actions you can take.

Honor the Lord

Our route for the day ends. Let us pray together to honor our God.

"Lord, thank you for your attentive ear to each of my cries. Yours be the kingdom, the power and the glory, amen !"
