Do not avoid, traverse !

"If you walk in the fire, you will not burn." Isaiah 43.2

Before God changes events, He often allows circumstances to change you.

Certainly, he promised to deliver us from our trials, but not necessarily as we would have thought or following our agenda. God wants more for us than just to deliver us, he wants to help us to look like his Son and make us find all the potential he has given us.

"Before God changes events, he often allows circumstances to change you."

Note that the verb "cross" is used many times in the Bible. To reach the Promised Land, the people of Israel had to cross the Red Sea, the desert, then the Jordan. Think about these two verses :

"When they cross the valley of the Baka [tear, loss, sorrow and tears], they make it an oasis, and the rain also covers it with blessings." Psalm 84.7

"If you cross the waters, I will be with you, and the rivers, they will not overwhelm you, if you walk in the fire, you will not burn, and the flame will not consume you." Isaiah 43.2

God does not manage time like us, in minutes, hours and days, he works by seasons. The smelter knows how long the ore must stay in the fire to become gold. The potter knows how long the clay must remain on the turn to turn into a valuable object, beautiful and useful.

A word for today

Trust God : He knows what you need. Be patient : God works for you, he works in you. When you have passed through this experience, you will be able to look back with gratitude.
