Do not be silent !

Acts 18.9 - The Lord said to Paul in a vision during the night : “Fear not ; but speak, and do not be silent”.

It has become very difficult today to have a firm position as Christians. Many moreover advise to remain silent so as not to make waves. Very often, too, the enemy discourages us by telling us : "This is useless, no one is listening". Finally the fear of rejection, of confrontation, of incomprehension... pushes us to remain comfortably in silence.

Elihu said to Job : "I have yet words for the sake of God" (Job 36.2). The Lord was saying to Ezekiel, “Son of man, go to the house of Israel, and speak my words to them ! The house of Israel will not listen to You, because they will not listen to Me" (Ezekiel 3:4 and 7). Martin Luther King also said : "In the end, we will not remember the words of our enemies but the silence of our friends".

Yes my beloved, there are still words to say, not to say cry out, for the cause of God. The important thing for the Lord is not whether we are listened to or not, but that things are said because it is part of his righteousness ! Whether we like it or not, there is a certain complicity in the silence.

However, before speaking, we must take the time to reflect. Talking to say nothing is worse than being silent. Speaking for the cause of God requires that we be fully persuaded that this is what God thinks and that is what God says ! We cannot hide behind the beliefs of others in this area.

My beloved, the Lord is looking for men and women who will be his spokespersons, his prophets, in this generation of the end of time. Will our response be : “Send me Lord !".
