Do you know the secret of freedom ?
Searching the Scriptures
Jesus called a little child, placed him in their midst and said: Truly I say to you, if you do not convert and become like little children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this little child will be the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18.2-4
Have you ever noticed that God's answers are usually very direct and to the point ? Not that his answers are easy... but only simple. Although we sometimes find it difficult to obey him, we must recognize that his solutions are rarely confused or difficult to understand !
I believe that we all aspire to more freedom in our life. No matter how mature we are, there are times when we feel like we are held captive and held captive - by sin, by bad company, by fear or remorse. So many factors can prevent us from experiencing freedom in our life.
I have discovered a "secret" to being free ! No, not the secret you don't have access to ! By that I mean a key that unlocks the doors to freedom that have been closed to you until now. Something that allows you to experience a freedom you never knew - it's just about showing childlike confidence.
I know you tell yourself that there is no way that is the secret to freedom, because it is too easy! But remember what I told you earlier : God's solutions are often easier than you think.
Try to focus a little on this "childish" confidence ! A child gives his trust unconditionally. He sincerely believes that his mother or father will take care of him, provide for his needs and watch over him. If you can practice this same trust in your relationship with your Heavenly Father, you will experience a dramatic change in your spiritual life.
When you put your trust in God, you don't worry about tomorrow. Confidence also frees you from your past mistakes. It keeps you from material or financial hassle and allows you not to worry about what others think of you. Trust in God makes you a self-confident person who will no longer be addicted to things like alcohol, drugs, or even sexual perversity. The strength, wisdom, provision, and protection of God are available to us as long as we trust him fully.
Come to God as a little child believing that what he has promised he will do. You will experience a degree of freedom that you never thought possible in your life. God wants to free you from the bonds that have held you captive until now. Trust him !
Listen to the voice of God
Let’s take the time to listen to what God means. You are his child. Come to him and experience the freedom he gives you now.
Praying is easy. Talk to God as you would your closest friend. God loves you and he can hear everything. Here is an example of a prayer : "Lord, I want to learn to trust you like a little child, in a simple way and without religiosity. I invite you to take all the place in my life now, so that I grow in my relationship with you."
Praise God
To praise God is to show him our gratitude. What are your subjects of recognition today ? Take a moment to thank the Lord.
Act today
Now dig deeper into what you have received. What can you do to apply what God has told you ? Write down the concrete actions you can take.
Honor the Lord
Our route for the day ends. Let us pray together to honor our God.
"Lord, I thank you for revealing to me the secret of freedom. I choose to live this freedom every day simply by trusting you. Yours be the reign, the power and the glory, amen !"
