Extend your limits

"Jaebets invoked the God of Israel, saying : If you bless me and extend my limits ... And God granted what he asked." 1 Chronicles 4.10

Do you feel cramped in your current life ? Do you want more ? Have you ever made the following observation : "I must be born for a better destiny" ? You would like your existence to be embellished by the radiance of God. Like the apostle Paul, you desire to go "from glory to glory." Yes, but there you are, your life reflects nothing exciting and does not arouse admiration. Understand this : God loves to work through ordinary people to perform extraordinary actions.

Do not content yourself with living in smallness when God wants to give you infinitely more.

Jaebets asked the Lord to extend his limits. His entourage saw in him only a life embedded in grief. His prayer was not for the purpose of obtaining a larger house or a better car. He only felt a deep need to expand the territory of his abilities, his future and his influence for the Lord.

If Jaebets had worked as a manager in a company, he could have prayed as follows : "Lord, extend my leadership, my ability to influence for your glory those who work under my responsibility, Make me a better leader, Beyond mediocre vision". If he had been a mother, her prayer would have looked like this : "Lord, extend the boundaries of my home. Help me influence my children to succeed in their studies so that they get an impactful job Your kingdom. With my husband, we can be role models for young couples."

Push your limits ! Do not content yourself with living in smallness when God wants to give you infinitely more. Jaebets wanted to increase his influence, there was nothing proud about it. He just wanted more responsibilities for the Lord. Today, take the prayer of Jaebets ! Believe it, God wants to break down your barriers and extend your borders.

A prayer for today

Lord, extend my limits, give me to have influence around me for the glory of your name, amen.
