Give me your heart !

Proverbs 23:26 - My son, give me your heart...

We can give many things to the Lord : our time, our money, our praise, our prayers... Yet only one thing will truly satisfy him: it is our heart !

From the beginning of the Bible we can see why God created human beings. This was created in his image, in his likeness, as if the Creator was looking in "man" for a vis-à-vis. In the harmony of the Garden of Eden, the Lord took pleasure in coming to converse with Adam and that probably every evening. As a friend seeks the company of his friend, so the thrice-holy God seeks the friendship of the human being, He desires his affection, He desires his heart.

How much the Eternal must be frustrated in his affective. Even He will never force anyone to love Him even if He has all it takes to love Him. Let us understand this well my beloved, the relationship which unites the Lord with "man" is in no way the same with any other creature in the universe, not even the angels. This relationship is not based on any religion, but it is built on a heart to heart.

As I said at the beginning, we can offer a lot of things to God but if we are not motivated by love and if we do not do it with all our heart, it is priceless in his eyes. Our affection for Him comes at a huge price, especially when it becomes spontaneous and natural.

My beloved ones, even today the Lord says to us with insistence : "My son (my daughter), give me your heart, give me your love, give me your affection... and my Father's heart will be delighted and satisfied. You will find the real meaning of your existence and I will be able, in turn, to show you all my tenderness”.
