"Having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness" (Romans 6.18).



The practice works just is not natural to man. Our natural inclination is not to practice what is right. The apostle Paul develops this in this beautiful passage from Romans 7.14 / 24.
But the miracle of grace, make us slaves to righteousness as recalled in the text of this day. Since we are justified by God's grace in Jesus Christ, it enables us to live according to his justice.

The practice of justice stems from our relationship with Christ living in us by His Spirit. As it is, as we are, "He who practices righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous" (1 John 3.7).
Our righteousness is in Christ. We are clothed in His righteousness.
Our responsibility is to always keep our lives on his garment justice. Leave that clothing of justice, he grants us by grace, is to allow our sinful nature to regain control is to allow the devil to have access in our lives. That is why we are invited not to give place to the devil (Ephesians 4.27). How to provide access ? : In not living by faith in the grace that makes us to be clothed with righteousness.

When we lived without Christ, we were free in regard to righteousness. The apostle Paul then asked this question: "What fruit had ye then ? "He replies :" Fruit of which you are now ashamed. " He added : "But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, you have your fruit unto holiness ..." (Romans 20.06.22).
Practice justice is possible only to the extent that we put on every day the justice of Christ, or we let Christ live in us.
I would like to illustrate this with an image : He that is inhabited by a passion, will breathe this passion, he will share, he will talk about it ... because he is a slave to his passion. Similarly, one that is inhabited by Christ, the one who lives to Christ, and Christ will become a slave of Christ's righteousness. The practice of justice will not come from individual efforts, but will be the manifestation of what lives, that is to say Christ and his righteousness. As Paul said, "I have been crucified with Christ ; and if I live, it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me "(Galatians 2:20).

My prayer on this day :

Lord, fill me with your presence so that you may be seen in me, and that my life reflects your works. Amen !
