It is finished "John 19:30

The Lord spoke these words just before dying on the cross. The original word for "Completed" is "Teleo", meaning in all its scope: "Bring to an end, check out completely, finish, finish, bring the contents of an order, perform the last action that complements a work, done, finished. "
Your goal in life should not be old to die, but to have completed the work that the Lord had prepared in advance for you.

Through this word uttered on the cross, the Lord spoke to the people that we are, telling us : "I paid for everything, the note is set." He also spoke to his heavenly Father: "I have performed the task for which you sent me, I realized the last action to complete the work of salvation." Finally, he spoke to his soul : "I did everything I had to do in my lifetime, I have nothing left, so I can die because I know that my grave will not keep anything from me" . Then he gave up his spirit.

Paul imitated the Lord saying also, shortly before his death. "The time to say goodbye to this world arrived I have fought the good fight, I have finished (Teleo) race" 2 Timothy 4.6-8 . the apostle ended his life by the same word that Jesus : "I have accomplished the work that the Lord has entrusted to me, now I can die in peace, my grave will not keep anything from me, if not to dust".

Your goal in life should not be old to die, but to have completed the work that the Lord had prepared in advance for you.

A Prayer for Today

Lord, I want to give while living the life that you call me to live, amen.
