"The God of Israel will be your rear guard." Isaiah 52.12
Not only does God precede you, but the Bible says He is your "rearguard".
An author writes : "During the tribulations of the Israelites across the desert and the Promised Land, their army had a vanguard and a rearguard. The advance guard consisted of scouts who were exploring the land to determine the The rearguard closed the march to pick up the pieces and make sure no valuable items had been left behind."
God cover your backs !
God is my rear guard. Just like you, I advance, sometimes a little too quickly, leaving things incomplete. But God follows and finishes what I did halfway.
If you had to look back, how many of your tasks would you find unfinished because the urgency of a new one prevented you from finishing the previous one ? If you did it for the best, God will do the rest!
About their teens, parents told me : "If only we had ..." I kindly remind them that they did their best. Now they have to trust God's rearguard action to finish the job, pick up the pieces and make something wonderful and beautiful.
Did God give you a task to accomplish ? Fix your eyes on what is before you, now, not in six months or a year. Do not deviate "neither right nor left." Proverbs 4.27
It's a real challenge at a time that offers so many distractions. Remember, the strength of the Sender is more important than that of the envoy.
A word for today
God cover your backs !
