"And God blessed them and said to them : Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it, and rule over the fish of the sea, and the birds of the air, and every animal that moves on the earth." Genesis 1.28
All that God has created is perfect. He said that every part of his creation was good. In this verse, we read what responsibilities he entrusted to Adam and Eve. They had to be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth and dominate it. God's plan was to appropriate the blessing and spread it all over the earth.
Every day God comes to you with new mercies.
When Adam submitted to Satan by eating the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, it is not the blessing that has been poured out on the earth, but sin. Sin and evil have grown to such an extent that Genesis 6.5 tells us that "the wickedness of men was great on the earth, and all the thoughts of their heart were daily only toward evil."
The time had come for a recommencement for the earth : "And Jehovah said, I will cut off the face of the earth the man whom I have created, from man to cattle, to reptiles, and to birds of heaven ..." Genesis 6.7 The flood destroyed all life, except the family of Noah and the animals that he had taken in the ark. After the flood, God began again with Noah, this righteous man, and with his family.
An action for today
Do not think that God has let you down because you made a mistake ! God allows the beginnings ! Every day he approaches you with new mercies. Today, start with him all again !
