God is a Spirit, just like you !

"If you live according to the flesh, you will die, but if by the Spirit you kill the deeds of the body, you will live, for all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God." Romans 8.13-14

God is not a feeling ; God is a Spirit, just like you ! You have been created in his image ! You are a spirit, you have a soul and you live in a body. Your mind is the part of you that is born again.

As a born-again believer, the Holy Spirit lives in your mind. Your mind was recreated when you were born again. Your soul and your body do not change unless you renew them by the word of God.

Feelings are temporary and can change at any time. The word of God is eternal and it never fails.

Your soul understands your thought, your will, and your emotions. We can not ignore the fact that people have feelings, but the word of God makes it clear that we must not let our feelings (or emotions) lead us.

Feelings are part of the world of the flesh and Romans 8: 13-14 tells us that living according to the flesh leads to death. The flesh (which includes your body and your thought, your will and your emotions) wants to do what is contrary to the word of God. However, you can renew your thought by the word and harmonize your body and soul with the spirit.

An application for today

Whether your prayers are answered or not has nothing to do with how you feel. Your prayers are answered according to your faith and according to the word of God. If you ask something according to your will, he hears you and if you know he hears you, you know you have what you asked for.

Feelings have nothing to do with that !
