God is closer to you than you think

"Where can I go far from your Spirit, where can I flee from your presence, if I ascend to heaven you are there, and if I go down to the hell, you are here ! of dawn and that I go to dwell at the borders of the seas, there too your hand will direct me, your right arm will hold me" Psalm 139.7-10

God does not move. He does not need to travel to get close to his creatures. And nothing is the distance. He is in the infinitely large as in the infinitely small ; at the ends of the universe as between each atom of matter. God is neither too busy to celebrate the birth of a single star among the billions of galaxies of the universe, nor too busy to bless a tiny fetus in the secret of the womb. And God is no more in heaven than in hell. It is. In infinite quantity. All over.

"The Eternal God is here in this moment, close to you,... desiring more than anything else to intervene in your life in response to your faith."

No more present or more powerful in the sky, He is perfectly God everywhere. He is there simply. He can not be closer. Do you know that the word "near" comes from the Latin "tight" ?... God is tight against you in every place. And there is no place, neighborhood, street, subway or night time that can hide his person.

No argument, oppression or worry, no evil, sin or problem has the power to diminish its presence. God is God, everywhere and at all times. He is fully holy, good and faithful everywhere and continually. Before him, all vanity seems as frail as a soap bubble. This is what the prophet Isaiah said : "The great empires of this world stand like a soap bubble before him" (Isaiah 40:17).

So no matter where you are. It does not matter who you are and the state of your life. It does not matter what you feel. The Eternal God is here at this moment, close to you, respecting your will, but desiring more than anything else to intervene in your life in response to your faith.

An action for today

God, as a Father, loves to interact with his children. All you need is to realize it, to believe it. Trust him today "the keys" of your life. Open your hand unreservedly to the one he gives you : you will see, you will feel, you will taste how faithful he is in his love.
