How to be a gift for others ?

"Never reply to evil with evil, but seek to do what is right in the sight of all men ... Never let yourself be dominated by evil, on the contrary, be victorious over evil through good." Romans 12:17

Simple acts of love can still change the world. You do not need special skills to love others! God wants to release all our potentials so that we can change the world. One of the most extraordinary potentials he has placed in us is the ability to change evil into good by the presence and precious help of his Spirit.

Love your enemies ...

"You have heard that it has been said : Eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. But I tell you not to resist the wicked man : if someone slaps you on the right cheek, hand him the other. If someone wants to sue you and take your shirt, leave him your coat again If someone forces you to do a kilometer, do two with him. And you will not turn away from the man who wants to borrow you, and you have heard that it has been said : Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy. But I say to thee, Love thine enemies, , Do good to those who hate you], and pray for those who abuse you and persecute you, that you may be the sons of your heavenly Father : for he raiseth his sun on the wicked and on the good , And makes rain upon the righteous and on the unjust" (Matthew 5: 38-48).

Alfred Nobel invented dynamite and earned a lot of money thanks to that. One day, his brother died accidentally and the press, by mistake, disclosed the information that it was Alfred who had died. The newspaper printed this "Alfred Nobel, the man who became wealthy by finding ways to kill many more people and faster than ever, died yesterday." He was shocked by the way people knew him at that time. So he decided to use all his revenues from dynamite to establish a foundation that is now called the Nobel Peace Prize, in order to honor the people who bring peace instead of the massacre. Since then, Alfred Nobel is more known for this constructive foundation than for destructive dynamite.

A prayer for today

Lord, that this ability to change evil into good is fully active in my life. I want to be a gift for those around me, for my company. Thank you for filling me with your Spirit. I'm ready !
