Impossible is not divine !

"Yes, I, the Lord, know the plans that I am making for you, and I declare: these are not projects of misfortune, but projects of happiness, I want to give you a hopeful future." Jeremiah 29.11

It was in 1998 that Fabien, a friend who was a pastor at the time, called me and said : "Eric, we do not have sites for Christians, I think you should make one."

I told him I did not know anything about it. His answer was : "But if Eric is the only one I know who has a church site, you know him better than anyone else." He added that he knew a Christian who lived in Switzerland and would be able to help me. Surprise at first, this woman decided after prayer times to support my project. The work done by this woman was great.

It was in this context that I arrived at a national meeting of evangelical associations in the Paris region. Excited by my new discovery and the potential of the Internet, I went to a first booth, where an official from an important French ministry told me : "It will not work in France." At another booth, someone said to me : "Internet is useless and has no future." A third spoke to me : "There is no money to launch projects in France." Not one manager gave me any encouragement. Not one of them exhorted me : "God can help you." Not a single one quoted me a verse from the Bible so that I would go forward ...

I had struck the wall of our French mentality and I had heard one of these phrases too often heard : "It is not possible." Yet, impossible is not divine !

We have our impossibilities, our handicaps, our past, our wounds, our mistakes ... but if God says that it is possible, then it is possible !

An encouragement for today

What do you see for your future ? Do you think it is extraordinary, according to God's promises ? I declare that it is possible ! Everything is possible to him who believes and nothing is impossible to God !
