Know the Word of God (continued)

People will often ask you this kind of question : "But if God existed, then wh... ?" Or, "I prayed, and yet nothing has changed...". We must establish deep convictions of the Word of God, otherwise we could render our testimony ineffective. It happened to me to come out of a discussion, sad to not have had the good words, the good verses. And on the way home, I began to receive beautiful, appropriate verses... but it was too late. Paul said to his spiritual son Timothy : "When you, stand firm in what you have learned and recognized as certain, knowing who you have learned. From your childhood, you know the holy scriptures that can make you wise for your salvation by faith in Jesus Christ. All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for convincing, for correcting, for instructing in righteousness, that the man of God may be formed and equipped for every good work" (2 Timothy 3: 14-17). The scriptures have the capacity to make us wise, provided we do not forget them ! If we read the Word of God to forget it immediately (that is, without addressing it with a heart eager to live this Word), then this Word will not be able to dwell in us and therefore will not be able to wear fruit. We must know "the holy letters". We are not at all obliged to be great scholars, but we must simply be passionate about the Word of God, because the more we know it, the more we will realize its power, and the better we will know how it is. use.

"Until I come, apply to reading the scriptures in the congregation, to encourage, to teach... Take care of these things, give yourself over to them, so that your progress is obvious to all. Watch over yourself and your teaching. Put perseverance on it, for in doing so you will save yourself and those who listen to you" (1 Timothy 4:13, 15-16). We sometimes think that God will do everything without realizing that we are partners with God.

Yes, God works with partners, and we can say to the Father : "Heavenly Father, I want to become your partner ! Wonderful Holy Spirit, act with me !".
