Let's rectify our points of reference

Where were you when I founded the earth ? Declare it, since you are so smart ! Job 38.4

"Mum, when you were a baby, how did we manage to have a mum ?" This is one of the many questions that little Julia, 4, asks her mother point blank.

Confusedly, in the minds of little children, the history of mankind necessarily begins with them. They are the benchmark on which other events naturally align.

We have all been there too, and gradually had to readjust our benchmarks :

We therefore admit that we have absolutely nothing to do with the conception of this gigantic universe, the emergence and preservation of life, the dazzling beauty with which all creation is adorned.

We concede that we have nothing to do with our own conception, our birth, the harmonious functioning of all the internal factories of our organism.

We use great technologies every day that we didn't invent, and those who originally designed them obviously didn't create their own brains !

So, based on these observations, do we still continue to live as if it all started with us ? Or will we have the wisdom to seek with all our hearts to know our Creator ? Saved by his grace, will we regulate our lives on the benchmarks that he has set for us ?
