Receiving and giving are spiritual laws

"Let him who has two shirts share with him who does not have them, and let him who has enough to eat do likewise" Luke 3. 11

Science has discovered and enunciated the laws that govern the physical world in which we live, as well as the cosmos, since creation. These laws are not subject to philosophical interpretations, nor to human decisions. A government cannot vote, for example, to abolish some of them. Isaac Newton stated the law of gravity, also known as the universal law of attraction : "Any two bodies attract each other according to a force proportional to the product of their mass and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them." Your emotions or thoughts have no influence on such a law, which remains immutable. In the spiritual realm there are also laws which are as universal as the physical laws governing the universe. For example the law of sowing and reaping (Matthew 13. 23). Of course, Jesus did not write a collection of physical laws like Isaac Newton. Most of the time, He just expressed them in parables. However, these laws remain unalterable. Jesus said : “Give, and it will be given to you : a good measure will be poured into the hem of your garment, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, for the same measure will be used for you as that which you have used” (Luke 6:38). You may find it strange to say that by giving what you have you will receive more than what you have just given. Some of us mistakenly apply this law to money only, but in fact it also governs the time you give to others, the practical help you give them, or your desire to listen to those in pain. Give and you will receive, share and you will not miss anything, this is the divine principle. Are you ready to put it into practice ?
