Stay in silence before God !

"To you, O God who dwells in Zion, go our confident waiting, our praise ..." Psalm 65.2

Prayer is not a series of words but a time of intimacy with God. There is a difference between the absence of prayer and standing in silence before God.

You do not know what to say when you pray ? Stay in silence before God !

Jesus said Heavenly Father is here in our room when we come to meet him. Not to pray is to put a rabbit to God. On the other hand, to stand before him in silence is like hugging him without speaking.

It is for him, that is, from God's point of view, that silence is praise.

God is worthy of all praise. But not just any, the one he likes.

What is important is not your favorite style of praise, but the one that pleases God. When you want to give a gift to someone, you will choose the gift based on what you know he likes and not according to your personal taste.

Maybe you feel uncomfortable staying in silence before God, but that's good for him.

Perhaps you do not understand the interest of remaining silent before him, but do it by faith because the Bible tells you that it is a form of praise.

Maybe you feel like wasting your time, but you will be surprised, by obeying, to experience the manifestation of his presence. God rewards those who seek Him.

To stand in silence before God is not to be silent and to think of something else, but to fix one's mind on God, to be a worshiper in spirit. It is this kind of worshiper that the Father seeks. When you stand before God, He comes to manifest to you. You become known in heaven, these times of contemplation by faith and in spirit qualify you to be used powerfully by God.

This is what happened to Elijah, the man who, although he was of the same nature as us, made fire fall from heaven and to which heaven obeyed. The Bible does not mention his formation or genealogy. The only qualification that allowed him to stand before King Ahab was that he stood before God.

"Elijah the Thishbite, one of the inhabitants of Gilead, said to Ahab : "The LORD God of Israel, whose servant I am, is alive. There will be no dew or rain, except at my word !" 1 Kings 17: 1

A prayer for today

Heavenly Father, thank you for revealing to me the praise that pleases you. I choose to offer you my life by standing in silence before you. Come and show me your love and let me hear your voice.

Put a timer on your phone and stay silent for 10 minutes before God, focusing on his presence in you. Then write in your diary what you experienced.
