The importance of the prayer : "Pray without ceasing"

In the sixth chapter of Ephesians, verse 18, we read words that emphasize the extreme importance of prayer with a force that seizes and subjugates us : "Make at all times by the Spirit all kinds of prayers and supplications. Watch this with complete perseverance, and pray for all the saints."

The wise child of God who stops to weigh the words and to consider the context can only exclaim as he reads this passage : "I must pray, pray, pray. I must put all my energy and all my heart to prayer. Whatever else I do, I have to pray."

The version of Lausanne, even stronger if it is possible, in its expression, gives : "Praying at all times in the Spirit, by all kinds of prayers and supplications, and seeing that with all perseverance and supplication to subject of all saints."

Notice "at all times", "all kinds of prayers", "with all perseverance", "for all saints". Note the accumulation and repetition of the words "praying", "praying", "supplication", "perseverance". Finally, weigh the strength of the expression "taking care of that" or more precisely : "without falling asleep".

Paul knew the natural laziness of man, especially in the area of ​​prayer. How rare is it that we pray tirelessly until the answer! How often does it happen that a church or an individual arrives in prayer to the immediate surroundings of a great blessing and that, at this precise moment, he lets himself go, he falls into drowsiness and abandons the fight !

I would like these words "without you falling asleep", as indeed the entire verse, to burn within our hearts.
