The peace of God

To the one who is firm in his intentions, you assure a deep peace, because he trusts in you. Isaiah 26.3

How easily we can be troubled inwardly ! It is true that there is no lack of concerns... What the future holds, fears concerning our health and that of our loved ones, our professional or financial situation, the worries we feel for our children... They can sometimes overwhelm us. It is good to be able to share them with a relative or a dear friend.

But how much more precious it is to be able to trust in God with the assurance of his benevolent listening! It is our privilege if we can call him Father, because we have believed in his love manifested in Jesus Christ. So, in this filial relationship, we have the freedom to speak to him and hand over all our concerns to him. The apostle Paul invites us to do this : Do not worry about anything, but in everything make your needs known to God through prayers and supplications, in an attitude of gratitude. And the peace of God, which is beyond all comprehension, will guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7).

In the difficult times that we may go through, let us seek the presence of this Father who loves us. Beyond what we do not understand, believe that God holds all things in his hands !
