The power of weakness
Searching the Scriptures
I received a splinter in the body. Three times I begged the Lord to take him away from me, and he said to me : My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is fulfilled in weakness. 2 Corinthians 12:7-9
Nick Vujicic is an evangelist born without arms and legs. When he was born, the congregation his father was pastor cried out : "If God is a God of love, why is he allowing something so excruciating to happen ?"
After going through many physical, emotional, and many questions, Nick finally turned to God, who then revealed to him that his weaknesses were going to be the strength of his testimony. Today, he travels the world to encourage others to support their disabilities and maximize their potential by trusting in God !
Paul wanted at all costs the thorn that was weakening him to be removed, but God ended the discussion : "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is fulfilled in weakness !"
We all have our weak points, physical, psychic or otherwise. However, what you consider a "weakness" can become one of your greatest strengths if you entrust it to God, if you ask Him to use it for His glory ! Her grace and strength will then make you able to endure her and qualify you to accomplish great things !
Listen to the voice of God
Let’s take the time to listen to what God means. Let God show you how He can make a powerful testimony of your weaknesses.
Praying is easy. Talk to God as you would your closest friend. God loves you and he can hear everything. Here is an example prayer : "Lord, help me to view my weaknesses as a springboard for your power to be manifested. All the glory be to you."
Praise God
To praise God is to show him our gratitude. What are your subjects of recognition today ? Take a moment to thank the Lord.
Act today
Now dig deeper into what you have received. What can you do to apply what God has told you ? Write down the concrete actions you can take.
Honor the Lord
Our route for the day ends. Let us pray together to honor our God.
"Thank you Lord for your perfect ways. Yours be the kingdom, the power, and the glory, amen !"
