The prayer, it walking !

"If you dwell in me, and my words remain in you, ask what you will, and it will be granted to you." John 15.7

A few years back, when I was struggling with many problems that were badly affecting my marriage, my wife decided to entrench herself in the presence of God. Every morning, as I slept deeply, she gently laid her hand on me and began silent long prayers : "Lord, touch the heart of my husband, let him be able to stop hurting himself and that he become a good father for our children and a good husband for me ..."

You know what ? It worked ! Her prayers were answered, God gave her what she had not asked for. "The Lord willingly gives happiness ..." Psalms 84.12

It is not always easy to believe in happiness when we live the opposite of what we would have liked to live. Very often people come to talk to me about the constraints they endure in their homes. After listening to them, I always give them the same answer : Keep praying !

Why this conclusion ? Well, simply because prayer works. In fact, I have the absolute conviction that nothing is inevitable with God. It can change situations from failure to victory. "Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is there anything that is astonishing from me ?" Jeremiah 32.27

The mere fact of holding you in his presence by presenting your request shows that in the depths of your heart you know that prayer works. So, keep invoking it and as long as you have not been answered do not stop. "But God has answered me, He has been attentive to the voice of my prayer." Psalms 66.19

A proclamation for today

Father, I believe that you hear my prayers and hear your prayers. In the name of Jesus.
