The stream of God !

Psalm 65.9 - ... God's stream is full of water...

Summer is sometimes the season of droughts and a stream full of water is an estimable treasure. In these times of spiritual drought that we live in, finding the water of God's presence is an even more priceless treasure.

Like the torrent of Ezekiel (Ezekiel 47), we can enter it on several levels. We can have water up to our ankles, up to our knees, or we can just dive right in. What makes the difference : it is the proximity to the presence of God. God leaves us freedom at this level because He never imposes himself but his desire as a Father is that we immerse ourselves headlong into His presence.

This presence washes us, purifies us, refreshes us, quenches our thirst... We are "freed" from the surrounding dryness. Better, these waters become in the depths of our being rivers of living water that flow on others (John 7:38). We are in dire need of immersing ourselves in the stream of God.

Today, let us not deprive ourselves of this wonderful privilege that we have to enter the presence of God, in all simplicity and humility. Let His waters flow over us in abundance. Then we can bring this freshness to this thirsty world.
