 "You are his members, each for his part" 1 Corinthians 2.27

No one can alone do everything that happens together. Paul writes: "You are the body of Christ [the Church], and you are its members, each on its own." But his body has already shown itself very weak. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am in the midst of them. The brain ignores the heart when the scholars disdain the believers. The hands criticize the knees when those who act blame those who pray. The eyes refuse to ally themselves with the legs if the visionaries are reluctant to work with the simple worker. So Paul writes, "The eye can not say to the hand, I have no need of you, nor the head say to the feet, I have no need of you" (v.21).

There is no large church without a small community. There is no Liberal without a Conservative. There is no pastor without a missionary. Cooperation is more than a good idea. The Bible commands us "to keep the unity of the Spirit by the bond of peace." Ephesians 4.3.

When we work together in unity, the Bible says that "the Lord gives blessing" on our heads (see Psalms 133: 1-3).

We were not called to compare ourselves, compete, complain, or criticize each other.

No, we are here to complement each other!

Jesus said, "If two of you agree on earth to ask for anything, it will be given to them by my Father who is in heaven.

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am in the midst of them "Matthew 18: 19-20.

 What a startling promise.
