"Have mercy on us, Son of David." When he came to the house, the blind men came to him, and Jesus said to them, "Do you think I can do this ?" Yes, Lord, they replied. Then he touched their eyes, saying, "Let it be done to you according to your faith ..." Matthew 9: 27-29

 

The word "Pistis" means in Greek : "faith", "belief", "trust". Indeed, this passage speaks clearly of the faith that dwells within us, of our inner belief. We could literally translate it like this : "Do you think that I can heal you ?" The blind answered a great, "Yes." Then Jesus said to them, "Let it be according to your belief."
Do not allow yourself to be influenced or manipulated ... but realize that the God of the impossible dwells in you.

Bad beliefs can cripple you. Mark Twain said : "They did not know it was impossible, so they did it." I found myself on several occasions in situations where, even before I had begun, someone was eager to deliver me the hundred reasons for a hypothetical failure. There will always be individuals who will assert to you : "It is not possible, you are not born well, you are in France, you do not have enough money, you do not have the right wife, Good children ... "Do not let yourself be influenced or manipulated by these restricted beliefs, but realize that the God of the impossible dwells in you.

Your certainty determines your attitude and choices that will influence the rest of your life. Tomorrow, when you are confronted with alternatives, Goliath, what will be your choices ? Remember : it is your belief that will determine your attitude, and inevitably your decisions.

Yes, he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. Help comes to us from the Lord who created the heavens and the earth, he will not allow our feet to falter. He is our shepherd and he will lead us to peaceful waters. We can accomplish everything by the one who strengthens us.

Do you think so ? Because this will determine your attitude in life.

A Prayer for Today

Lord, help me not to have toxic beliefs, but a faith based on the Word of God. Amen
