"Others had embarked on the sea and they were working on the vast waters. There, they saw what the Lord, and his wonders on the high seas." Psalms 107.23-24
Since I gave my heart to Jesus at the age of 18, I have not been spared by the storms. Storms financial, relational, family, storm in my health, my ministry, my emotions ...
God can, and wants will soothe your storm ...
You cross a storm right now ? I would encourage you to believe that God can and wants will soothe your storm !
The storm is an opportunity to see God work. The disciples experienced a storm. The apostle Paul experienced a storm (Acts 27). And each time, this was an opportunity for God to work miracles. And if your storm today became your finest witness tomorrow ?
"In a word, he made up a storm and the waves of the sea rose. Sometimes they were carried up to heaven, sometimes they fell into the abyss. They were terrified and anguish. Dizzy they staggered like drunk all their skill was gone. in their distress they cried to the Lord, and he delivered them from their distress. " (Psalm 107.25-28)
It is very difficult to be caught in a storm : up, down and think this is the end. Hope fades. Our talents do not seem to serve any purpose ... But you can cry out to the Lord. He will deliver you from your anxieties. "He reduced the storm to silence, and he appeased the fury of the waves. It was quiet for them because of joy and God guided them to their desired haven. Let them praise the Lord for his love, for his wondrous deeds for men." (V. 29-31)
A word of Jesus and the storm is silenced (Mark 4.39). More sound, more a wave, not a sound, it is now calm after the storm. All that remains is the joy and praise.
I pray that God will lead you to the desired port. It gives you the calm after the storm.
An action for today
If you are caught (e) in a storm, you can cry out to God to deliver you. He listens to you. Then make the decision today to believe that Jesus is with you, in the midst of your storm, and it is one that will appease.
