The touch of Jesus !

Matthew 17.7 - But Jesus, coming near, touched them, and said : "Arise, do not be afraid".

My beloved, how many times has fear kept us prostrate ? How many times has she shackled us in hard slavery ? How many dreams, destinies, calls, visions... have been lost by this devastating feeling ?

We are in such need of the touch of Jesus. Watch how the Lord fixes the problem. First, He approaches us. He asks us by knocking on the door of our heart but He does not force things, He awaits our invitation ! He is very close to us and He is waiting, sometimes very very patiently, for us to approach Him.

Then, when we respond positively to his call, he touches us. How precious and beneficial is the touch of God. Whatever our "leprosy" or our illness, He touches us. It is not our "sin" that will contaminate him, but it is his "Holiness" that will invade us. Nothing in the world should prevent us from approaching Him and experiencing His touch. No shame, no guilt, no indignity... will prevent him from touching us with tenderness and compassion.

Then, He commands us in a firm yet gentle tone at the same time : “Get up. You are not meant to be prostrate, you are not meant to sit in your corner, crushed, depressed and miserable. Get up and run into the "career" I have opened for you. Let yourself be seized by My touch and get up, get up, lift your head and shoulders, you are destined to be my victorious child, aware of the nobility that dwells in you through My Spirit".

Finally, come this Word which is a promise : "Do not be afraid ! You have no reason to fear, I am here, I am with you, I support you, I carry you, I take you to my heights... What can a man do to you ?".

My beloved, I pray that this Word will be engraved in our hearts : "Arise, do not be afraid !".
