"For I, the Lord, know well what projects I make for you." Jeremiah 29.11
God said, "I know well what projects I make for you [...] projects of happiness, I want to give you a future to hope, if you come to call me and pray to me, I will listen to you" (v.11- 12). This year, ask God for his plans.
I know well what projects I form for you [...] projects of happiness.
It would be a shame to start one for which you are badly trimmed. It's like walking in shoes that are too small or too big. So, what are you good at ? What do you prefer to do ? What gives you the most joy ?
Note five moments in your life where you felt truly filled. Do these moments help you see more clearly ? If money was not a problem, what would you do with your days ? Would it be different from today ? What little step can you take immediately to get closer to your real call ? Make a phone call, write a letter, send an email ?
What have you learned about your call through your failures ? Are there any areas that would take you away ? Who do you admire most for their way of using their talents ? Why want to be like them ? What can they teach you ? How would you describe your vision for this year ? Or for the next five years ? Or the ten ? What people around you know you ? Have you submitted your objectives to them ? Did they tell you what they thought about how you use your talents ? If you were to write your own epitaph, what would you say ? What memory would you like to leave ?
Advice for today
For this new year, ask God his plans.
