Throw your bad memories

"Love is the link that unites perfectly." Colossians 3.14

If you're resentful, ruminating past mistakes, including yours, you know these negative thoughts are undermining you. A relationship is hard to last if the past is not behind each other. Negative thoughts and reproaches prevent you from moving forward.

If you're resentful, ruminating past mistakes, including yours, you know these negative thoughts are undermining you. A relationship is hard to last if the past is not behind each other. Negative thoughts and reproaches prevent you from moving forward.

If an ex has hurt you and you still suffer from it, whenever the same situation arises, you will undoubtedly have a disproportionate reaction, and will blame the new relationship for being responsible for your previous injuries. This excessive and unjustified reaction will affect the other.

Just as you clean your house of clutter, you need to keep your mental, emotional and spiritual home clean and tidy. Prayer, Bible reading, counseling, journaling, meditation, and sport are good ways to prevent past problems from interfering with your current relationships.

And when these problems come back, it's better to talk to those around you. The important thing is to do it calmly, remaining sincere and honest. An old adage says that to love means never having to say that we are sorry. It's wrong !

An action for today

Keep in mind this verse of the Bible so that negative thoughts remain in the trash : "Do not get angry." Ephesians 4.26

The Bible says : "Make yourself (...), a simple, sweet, patient heart ... (...) The Lord has forgiven you, act like him ! (...) love is the link that unites perfectly." Colossians 3.12-14
