What do you see for your future ? What is your "vision" ? In 1872, Abraham Lincoln signed the act of emancipation of the slaves, but a hundred years later, the Afro-Americans were still victims of segregation.
I dream that one day [...] all the children of God, ..., will be able to join hands ...

In his speech to the Lincoln Memorial in 1963, Martin Luther King expressed his vision with these now famous words : "I dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and those of former slave owners Sit together at the table of fraternity. I dream that someday, even the state of Mississippi, a state where the fires of injustice and oppression will burn, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice. I dream that my four grandchildren will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged on the color of their skin but on the value of their character. I dream that someday ... all the children of God, blacks and whites, Jews and non-Jews, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing the words of the old Negro Spiritual : "At last free, at last free, thanks in return to God almighty, we are at last free !".

A thought for today

If you have no vision for your life, ask one to God. And when he gives it to you, devote your existence to it by believing that you will "see" its fulfillment !
