"Jesus lives, by the way, a blind man by birth ..." John 9.1
There are some things we do not control and we are not responsible for. Just like this man born blind, we can be born with an illness or be confronted with various problems that we have not caused at all.
"Did not I tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God ?"
The disciples of Jesus sought a cause to justify the state of this blind man. So they asked him a question : "Master, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind ?" John 9.2
The response of the Lord was not long in coming, it was clear and unequivocal : "This has nothing to do with sin: neither with his own nor with that of his parents. It is only so that in him all can see what God is able to do." John 9.3
It makes more sense to find a cause to justify the few sufferings that are ours. But as you know, there are inexplicable facts. They are present in our lives and we wonder why.
By the way, that may be the question you ask yourself too ? So let me tell you a truth : "All things work together for the good of those who love God, of those who are called according to his purpose." Romans 8.28
A person recently told me about his wife who had become seriously ill. She explained to me that during this period, someone had the delicacy to let his wife believe that if she was in this state, it was because she had done something wrong.
Today, it is certain that he had to change his mind since this disease has served one thing, that of glorifying the name of God since this woman is totally cured !
Believe it, there are some things in your life that you do not need to investigate about your past. Chance does not exist, you have to accept the fact that these things are present because God wants to use them to show you what he is able to do !
"Have I not told you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God ?" John 11.40
A proclamation for today
Lord, I want to believe in order to see your glory !
