When children teach us

"Whoever becomes small as this child will be the greatest in the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 18.4

Have you ever seen a child's eyes shine ? Like the first time he or she does a ride, eat ice cream, or even do something alone, like riding a bike.

God has created all things for you to enjoy, enjoy.

Jesus himself loved children. When he was on earth, he took them in his arms, to bless them (Mark 10.16). We are even told that Jesus gave an example as a child, when the disciples asked him who would be the greatest in the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 18: 1-4).

The ability of children to marvel at everything is amazing and seems limitless.

The question is : What happens when you grow up ? What happens to us adults ?

Over time, we get used to these little things in life, such as the morning song of birds, the sunset, the laughter of a child, the flavor of a good croissant with a coffee to start the day...

Too often, burdened with our daily obligations and all kinds of thoughts, we do not take the time to savor, stop and breathe.

Yet God has created all things for you to enjoy, enjoy. From the sunrise, to the rippling waves, to swallows flying in the spring, all this has been given for you to enjoy.

What if today, now, you made the conscious decision to let yourself be amazed by the incredible beauty of the creation around you ? By the grace of God who is still with you today ? By his kindness renewed this morning ?

Enjoy every moment, live deeply and be filled with the joy of the Lord! That nothing comes to rob you of your ability to amaze you !

An encouragement for today

Today, take model on those smaller than you, who are often only by size or age ... And seek to develop in you that wonder that pleases God, and that satiates your soul of the goodness of God.
