Why Lord, why ?

"Now faith is the assurance of the things that are hoped for, the demonstration of those that are not seen." Hebrews 11.1

Life can be difficult at times - especially when we feel we have done all that we were supposed to do and yet circumstances do not seem to reflect our faith in God. This is the time to remember that God has a good plan for your life. Every day, looking around you can see that others are living even worse situations than yours.

Maybe you do not know or do not understand what God is doing, but you can be assured that he is in control of the situation.

In such cases, we often question God : "Why did you allow this misfortune to happen to them ? They are such good people, they love you with all their hearts." Or if we go through difficulties ourselves, we can ask : "Why am I in this terrible situation, Lord ? Why is this happening to me ? why did not you do anything ? Did not you accomplish a miracle to get me out of there ?"

Has this happened to you ? The truth is that most of us have experienced situations where we honestly wondered why God had turned away from us and why he did not see how much we were suffering. This kind of thinking can make us angry with God. Yes, it happens that people want God ! I think we can be angry with him without even knowing it.

Because of our limited human understanding, we may find it difficult to understand the why of the difficult times we are going through. There are no ready-made answers. But I know one thing: we must decide to trust God in all things and believe that He will help us to overcome the test, as long as we remain firmly attached to Him.

The definition of faith states that we have the assurance of things that we hope, even if we do not see them. We must stop wanting to understand everything and just recognize that we need God. Once this step has been taken, we can continue to live and enjoy life, while God will give us the answers.

An encouragement for today

Maybe you do not know or do not understand what God is doing, but you can be assured that he is in control of the situation. You are in his hands - the safest place. Perhaps you are ignorant now, but the day will come when you will understand.
