You are not forgotten

"Does a woman forget the child she is breastfeeding ? Does she not pity the fruit of her bowels ? When she would forget it, I would not forget you. engraved on my hands !" Isaiah 49.15-16

In the neighborhood where I spent part of my youth, there was a drug addict sick and covered with pustules. He was disgusting and no one had any relationship with him. From time to time, his mother, who did not see him coming home, came to pick him up and take him home. Watching this woman walk hand in hand with her boy completely screwed to the heroine, I wondered how she did to live with him, kiss him and give him love ?

"God never abandons his children."

Today, I know the answer : he was his child and this bond that linked this mother to her son was stronger than anything !

There are so many facts that are likely to drive us away from God and make us believe that we are too bad, too dirty to be loved by him. We say to ourselves : "I do not deserve his love !" Are you also invaded by this dark feeling ?

A multitude of people turned their backs on God because of an error that led them to believe that God would set them aside ! Of course, this feeling is completely wrong, because God never abandons his children. "I will not forsake you, I will not forsake you." Joshua 1.5

There is nothing that could erase your name on the hands of your creator. He can not forget you, He loves you and calls you to come back to him. "I destroy your transgressions like a cloud, and your sins like a cloud, come back to me, for I have redeemed you." Isaiah 44.22

A prayer for today

Father, forgive me for having turned your back on you, I make the firm decision to come back to you ! In the name of Jesus. Amen !
