Your tears speak to God
Searching the Scriptures
The Lord hears the voice of my tears. Psalm 6.9
"Is there a person who wants to turn their life over to Jesus Christ ? A person who needs to be forgiven, who wants to see God change their life ?" said the preacher.
Listening to those words, I turned to my father. I looked at his thin, worn out face and said : "Daddy, God is calling you today ! It's not too late for you. It's not too late to change !" He looked at me and nodded as if to say : "You are right my son." Then he got up and went to the platform to commit his life to Christ. He was 70 years old !
Many people in our family are likely to hurt us because their behaviors, their hectic lives, lead us to believe that they will never change.
Today, that might be your case. The changes you expect in the lives of your loved ones are not manifesting and your tears have replaced your prayers, you are so distressed by the situation.
Fortify yourself ! Take heart. God is not immune to what you are going through ! Your tears speak to him more than you think. He holds your family in his hands and no member will be able to resist his call !
Listen to the voice of God
Let's take the time to listen to what God means. As tears have replaced your prayers, God is present to comfort and restore you.
Praying is easy. Talk to God as you would your closest friend. God loves you and he can hear everything. Here is an example of a prayer : "Lord, touch the hearts of my loved ones. Help me not to be discouraged in this fight for my family, to persevere in faith and prayer until it is answered."
Praise God
To praise God is to show him our gratitude. Today, what are your subjects of recognition ? Take a time to thank the Lord.
Act today
Now dig deeper into what you have received. What can you do to apply what God has told you ? Write down the concrete actions you can take.
Honor the Lord
Our route for the day ends. Let us pray together to honor our God.
"Lord, I thank you because you are listening to the voice of my tears. Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory, amen !"
