Attached to the vine

Jesus said : Abide in me. If anyone does not abide in me, he is cast out like a branch, and it withers. John 15.4,6

Are you one of those kicked out ? True Christian life is life in abundance that bears more and more fruit. Sad picture is that of Christians who do not bear fruit ! The relationship with the true vine, Jesus Christ, has been broken and the sap does not flow.

If we don't produce fruit, then the situation is tragic and we have to get to the bottom of the problem to find out why. Do you really have the life of Jesus ? Or have you put your trust in your own conception of the Christian life ? Have you ever surrendered control of your life to Jesus Christ ? One becomes a Christian through an act of faith, when one understands that the death of Christ was not an accident, but the gift of the God of love and the victory of Jesus over the adversary. He opposes God and wants to keep us enslaved to sin. Let us accept to ask forgiveness for our sin and our mistakes.

Too many people "try Christianity" as if it was a "Safari trip", limited in time and route. To become a Christian is to surrender forever, to no longer demand your own rights.

It is so serious that you have to get to the bottom of it to "be and abide in Him."
