• Day 8 : May your names be sancified in me life (2)

We will go deeper into the truths hidden in these names. When we begin with the proclamation of these Bible verses and these truths, we lay a solid foundation in prayer.

For example, when we pray : "Jahweh Tzidkenu, Lord, you are my righteousness ! Thank you Lord, that you have sinned for us, that I may be clothed with thy righteousness. We remember that it is our justification and that we can therefore approach him without any condemnation. Guilt is often the greatest obstacle to a bold prayer, in complete freedom.

When we continue to proclaim "Jahweh M'Kaddesh : Lord, you are my sanctification ! Thank you Lord, that by the sacrifice of your body, I am sanctified once and for all !" We realize that our sanctity depends on him alone, not on our works, or on what we do or do not do. Jesus is our sanctification !

When we pray "Jahweh Shalom ! Jesus, you are my peace, my well-being ! , We proclaim that our inner peace does not depend on our circumstances, because Jesus is our peace !

When we pray "Jahweh King, Jesus, you are my Shepherd ! You lead me in the way of righteousness and restore my soul !" We affirm that Jesus takes care of us and leads us as a shepherd leads and cares for his sheep.

By praying "Jahweh Shammah, thank you Lord for being with us, that you have promised that you will never abandon us, that you will never leave us !", We remember that he is with us and will remain with us forever.

By proclaiming "Jahweh Rofeh, you are my Doctor ! Thank you because by your bruises I am healed !", We realize that Jesus is also the healer of our physical bodies.

By praying "Jahweh Jireh, thank you Lord, you provide for all my needs, according to your wealth! We are assured that he will take care of all our needs, be it material, clear, direction, intelligence to know his will, and so on.

By praying "Jahweh Nessi, thank you Lord, to be my banner, under which I can find a shelter, but also under which I can gather to listen to your commands as Commander-in-Chief !". Here it is a good thing to think of his armor as described in Ephesians 6. Personally I have a whole arsenal of biblical verses to proclaim all the parts of this armor : the belt of truth, the breastplate of justice, Sandals of zeal for the gospel, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Word.

We are now well prepared for the second part, in which we will be able to approach prayers that do not concern our own person.

"Lord, you are my Justice, my Holiness, my Peace, you are always with me, you are my Shepherd, my Banner, you provide for all my needs and my Doctor ! May your names be sanctified in my life ! In the name of Jesus, amen !"
