Indeed, the blood of goats and bulls as well as the ashes of a cow, which are sprayed on those who are defiled make them holy by providing them with ritual purity. If so, the blood of Christ, who offered Himself to God through the Eternal Spirit as a flawless victim, will further purify your conscience of dead works so that you serve the living God ! Having a guilty conscience is an experience. Psychologists can define it as a guilt complex and seek to rationalize the feeling of guilt ; but once this has been awakened by the application of the law of God, no explanation will calm the insistent voice of conscience. Many criminals ultimately turned themselves in to the authorities because the charges of guilty conscience were worse than prison bars. The Bible teaches that Christ purifies the conscience. Having a guilty conscience cleared and being freed from constant accusation is an experience, but it is not the cleansing of conscience that saves you ; it is faith in Christ that saves, and a purified conscience is the result of a good relationship with God.

La Bible enseigne que le Christ purifie la conscience. Avoir une conscience coupable nettoyée et être libéré de ses accusations constantes est une expérience, mais ce n'est pas le nettoyage de la conscience qui vous sauve ; c'est la foi en Christ qui sauve, et une conscience purifiée est le résultat de la bonne relation avec Dieu.

Nothing takes God by surprise. Everything moves according to a plan, and God wants you in this plan. The devil also has a plan for the world. God has a plan and the devil has a plan, and you will have to decide which plan you will fit into. The Scriptures say that God grants us 70 years and some beyond. The first 15 are devoted to childhood and early adolescence. Twenty years have gone to bed and in the past five years, physical limitations are beginning to limit our activities. That gives us about 30 years to live to adulthood. We take time to eat and calculate our taxes, and we may be 15 years old. Now suppose we spend seven of those years watching television. That takes us back to seven or eight years. Our time is short ! The time that we can invest for God, in creative things, to reach our fellow men for Christ, is short !

Every hour of every day that remains of this earthly life, I would spend serving you, Lord Jesus. Forgive the time spent so often in useless efforts.

Vingt ans sont passés au lit et au cours des cinq dernières années, les limitations physiques commencent à restreindre nos activités. Cela nous donne environ 30 ans pour vivre à l'âge adulte. Nous prenons du temps pour manger et pour calculer nos impôts, et nous en sommes peut-être à 15 ans. Supposons maintenant que nous passions sept de ces années à regarder la télévision. Cela nous ramène à sept ou huit ans. Notre temps est court ! Le temps que nous pouvons investir pour Dieu, dans des choses créatives, pour atteindre nos semblables pour Christ, est court !
